NSS designed and erected safe, lightweight
access systems in both transepts
and chapels. These eliminated the weight on the unique sandstone
floor and
allowed the intricate ammonia-based stone cleaning to proceed
to the
stonework.
This allowed internal ammonia-based
stone cleaning to proceed to the stonework, clear of the public
moving in and out of St Paul's Cathedral on a daily basis.
NSS designed the circular moving
access system to the dome of the Cathedral, suspended from the
top bell chamber.
